Three years following their separation, Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict have modified the terms governing the custody of their two children. Recent legal filings indicate that the former couple has established stricter boundaries regarding access to each other's private residences. Moving forward, neither party is permitted to enter the other’s home unless they have been explicitly invited or are conducting a pre-arranged custody exchange.
New Scheduling Requirements
According to the documentation, the agreement includes specific conditions for visitation. Mowry has consented to allow Hardrict to spend time with their 15-year-old son, Cree, and 8-year-old daughter, Cairo, during her designated custodial blocks, provided that he interacts with both children simultaneously. Additionally, Hardrict has committed to returning the children to Mowry’s care no later than 9 p.m. during transition days.
Background on the Co-Parenting Journey
Mowry and Hardrict ended their 18-year marriage in 2022, with their divorce officially finalized in April 2023. At that time, they settled on joint legal and physical custody. Since the split, both parties have frequently emphasized the importance of prioritizing their children's well-being.
Reflecting on the challenges of co-parenting in previous interviews, Mowry shared her philosophy on navigating life after marriage:
«It’s all about thinking about everything from not just your perspective, but the kids’ perspective as well. I feel like that’s where kids definitely become a priority and focus on their peace, their joy, their happiness and what makes them feel at ease and feel comfortable and love.»
For his part, Hardrict has consistently advocated for minimizing public drama. During a recent television appearance, he noted, «If you really love your children, you won’t get involved in the noise or the mess. I make sure I always think about them first. I put myself last.»
