Actor Timothy Busfield has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal sexual contact of a minor and child abuse. A grand jury indicted him on four related felony counts in early February.
Busfield subsequently waived his right to an arraignment and to appear in court for all pre-trial proceedings. Judge Joseph Montano granted this request.
The charges stem from allegations involving two 11-year-old boys in 2022 and 2023. Busfield was initially arrested in January after a police warrant was issued. He has publicly and repeatedly denied all allegations, stating he will fight to prove his innocence.
Following his arrest, Busfield was released from custody. His legal team will represent him at upcoming hearings, including a scheduling conference.
