Support from a Former Costar
Brandi Glanville, the 53-year-old reality television personality, recently spoke openly about the significant assistance she has received from her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, Yolanda Hadid. During an episode of her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, she highlighted that Hadid has been a pillar of support as she navigates a long-term medical struggle.
A Complex Diagnosis
For the past three years, Glanville has been dealing with an unexplained facial condition that emerged following the filming of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023. After investing over $113,000 into various diagnostic paths, she finally received a definitive set of diagnoses, including Valley Fever, Mononucleosis, Demodex dermatitis, and a highly resistant infection involving ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter.
Reflecting on their different paths to recovery, Glanville noted, «Our things are different. She has Lyme disease and I’ve got my own health issues.» Despite these differences, Hadid has been instrumental in connecting her with specialists to aid her recovery.
Community and Crowdfunding Efforts
In addition to the guidance provided by Hadid, Glanville has turned to the support of friends and fans to help cover the mounting medical bills. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by a close friend, which has already successfully raised over $19,500 of its $25,000 target. Several of her former reality television colleagues, including Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, Vicki Gunvalson, and Claudia Jordan, have contributed to the fund.
Vicki Gunvalson expressed her empathy regarding the situation, stating, «It breaks my heart that both of them, who have been used to working to provide for themselves, are not able to at this time. I wish Brandi continued healing.»
Gratitude for the Outpouring of Love
Glanville took to her Instagram Stories to express her deep appreciation for the community support she has received throughout this taxing process. «Asking for help isn’t easy for me, but knowing I have so many people in my corner means more than I can ever explain,» she shared. «I still have a long road ahead, but you’re helping me keep fighting. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.»
