  • No ability to place personal phone calls.

The devices are utilized exclusively for capturing photos and receiving essential updates or texts from producers, ensuring the cast remains focused on their romantic connections and the show's challenges.

Love Island USA centers on a group of singles living under constant video surveillance. To remain in the running for the $100,000 grand prize, participants must stay paired up. Ariana Madix has also taken a firm stand against toxic behavior from viewers, particularly concerning online harassment. During an episode of Aftersun in June 2025, she addressed those targeting the families of contestants or engaging in doxxing:

«Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones. So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.»
