«To all the people who don’t like me anymore for defending my brother, I’m glad,» Charlie stated. «Genuinely, I don’t need support from people that bully my brother online for absolute minute reasons.»

Charlie expressed his bewilderment regarding the severity of the attacks leveled against Zach. He noted that the intensity of the vitriol seems completely disproportionate to the situation, suggesting that critics are acting as if Zach had committed a serious crime.
He further revealed the alarming nature of the harassment he and his family have endured, stating, «I have received death wishes, homophobic slurs and people even telling him to 'take his ass back to the Byzantine empire' the region in which our heritage comes from.»

One of the primary grievances fueling the backlash involved claims that Zach had intentionally deprived his partner, Kayda, of food. Charlie dismissed these allegations as ridiculous and factually incorrect.
«For all the people who have said ‘Zach withheld food from Kayda and has starved Kayda’ as farfetched and ridiculously dramatic that statement is, Zach did make Kayda breakfast that morning it just wasn’t shown,» he clarified.
