A Potential Reunion in the Works?
Chrissy Metz, beloved for her role in the hit series This Is Us, has revealed that she has yet to receive an invitation to guest star on Justin Hartley's current project, Tracker. While some of their former castmates have already appeared on the show—including Jon Huertas, who directed, and Hartley’s wife, Sofia Pernas—Metz is still waiting for her moment.
"It’s funny. Jon Huertas has directed. Sofia has been on it. I have not got a call yet, Mr. Hartley," the 45-year-old actress joked during a recent interview. However, Metz remains optimistic about a future appearance. "Perhaps there’s just not a role written for me yet. We’ll see. I want to be a bad guy if that’s the case because Justin’s like the good bad guy."
The Legacy of 'This Is Us'
Tracker marks Hartley's first major television venture since the conclusion of the NBC phenomenon This Is Us, which aired from 2016 to 2022. The series, which followed the lives of the Pearson family, left a lasting impact on both its audience and its cast. Hartley has previously noted that the show's planned conclusion allowed the cast to feel a sense of closure, noting that they remain lifelong friends.
Regarding the possibility of more reunions, Hartley has previously hinted that viewers might see further cameos from the This Is Us family. Other cast members, including Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, Chris Sullivan, and Milo Ventimiglia, have also expressed interest in crossing paths with Hartley on his new show.
Reflecting on her time on the show, Metz shared, "It completely changed my life in every single way. It’s a family that we’ve all created that I think is so special and will continue. I miss all my friends. We got to hang out every day for six years. I’m just so grateful that I had that experience."
Personal Growth and Wellness
Beyond her acting career, Metz also opened up about her recent health journey. She discussed her experience with the company Ro, noting how the program helped her manage her health more effectively. She highlighted that the convenience of the platform allowed her to connect with medical professionals easily, which was a significant factor for her.
Metz noted substantial physical improvements since starting the regimen, including better sleep and increased mobility. "I feel just more mobile and I get better sleep," she said. "I was able to do eight shows a week on Broadway, which is no small feat... I think the most empowering aspect is that I really am doing it for myself. I feel like once you are educated, the fear goes away."
