Setting the Stage for Drama
The Real Housewives of New York City star Erin Lichy is making it clear that she doesn't intend to carry the weight of the season 16 reunion on her own. As anticipation builds for the show's return on September 8, the 39-year-old reality personality has hinted that several cast members will face intense scrutiny when the group finally sits down to reflect on the season.
“I can tell you that—and actually, there are people that I will be putting in the hot seat as well,” Lichy teased. “Big time.”
Cast Changes and Tensions
Since her debut in the rebooted 14th season, Lichy has remained a central figure in the franchise. Season 16 sees her returning alongside familiar faces such as Sai de Silva and Jessel Taank, as well as the return of series veteran Carole Radziwill. The cast also welcomes newcomers Hailey Glasman, Daisy Toye, and Erika Hammond.
Discussing the potential for conflict, Taank shared her perspective on who might face the most heat, stating, “I think it’s going to be a mixture between Erin and Daisy.” Taank also emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself while filming, noting, “My biggest piece of advice is just be authentic, because the audience can see right through you.”
Refuting Public Misconceptions
Lichy, who balances a career in real estate with her reality television commitments, remains focused on her professional life while largely ignoring the noise from social media comment sections. She addressed persistent rumors regarding her background, clarifying that she has worked hard to achieve her current success.
“I feel like people think that I’m so pampered, and I have worked so hard. I was not given anything. I mean, I definitely grew up in a comfortable way, and I grew up in New York City with a lot of opportunity but I have worked my ass off. And sometimes I feel like people don’t really realize that,” Lichy stated.
The star remains undeterred by external perceptions, asserting that she plans to prove her dedication to her viewers. Fans can tune in to the season 16 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City on September 8 at 8/7c on Bravo, with streaming available the following day on Peacock.
