George Clooney is making his long-awaited debut in a Super Bowl advertisement. The commercial, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, is set to air during Super Bowl 2026.

The actor stars in Grubhub's inaugural Super Bowl spot. The 30-second ad features a lavish dinner party in a castle, where guests are served various takeout dishes. The dramatic climax reveals the campaign's message: Grubhub will waive delivery and service fees on orders over $50.

"When I heard Yorgos Lanthimos was directing... I was thrilled. He's one of my favorite directors," Clooney told PEOPLE. He described the final product as a compact, two-minute Yorgos Lanthimos film packaged for the Super Bowl spectacle.

Grubhub states this fee-waiver initiative is a sustainable strategy shift, not a temporary promotion, addressing a major customer concern. Fees on such orders can average around $13 on other platforms.
