Clarifying Security Concerns
Kirsten Storms, known for her role in General Hospital, has taken to social media to address public confusion regarding her claims that her personal phone and her daughter Harper's iPad were compromised. The actress, 42, focused on the period when they resided at the Legacy Cool Springs apartment complex in Franklin, Tennessee.
On Monday, September 7, Storms posted a video on Instagram displaying a log from her Verizon router. According to the actress, this list shows various unauthorized devices that were accessing her home network throughout the previous year. She noted, «I gave this video to the Franklin Police Department when I filed the police report.»
Evidence and Custody Disputes
The shared footage detailed an array of connected hardware, including multiple iPhones, iPads, a television, a school laptop, and a smartwatch. Storms emphasized that she felt compelled to share this information following legal proceedings.
«With the custody case Brandon filed, claiming this wasn’t real, I had to,» Storms explained. She added that her daughter Harper had specifically reported being disconnected from the Wi-Fi network, raising further suspicions about the security of their household devices.
Parenting Amidst Public Scrutiny
The situation is set against the backdrop of an ongoing custody battle between Storms and her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, 46. The former couple, who married in 2013 and divorced in 2016, had previously been managing a collaborative co-parenting arrangement, even moving from California to Tennessee together in 2025. However, Barash filed for custody of their daughter in December 2025.
Addressing the public interest in their private lives earlier this summer, Storms requested that speculation cease to protect her daughter. She wrote on Instagram in July:
«Please remember that we are people who are divorced and have a child. I appreciate the supportive comments, but now that my daughter is of the age where she will Google her name while riding the bus to school, I’m asking that the speculation on this issue please stop.»
Storms, who has navigated significant health challenges in recent years—including a brain cyst in 2021 and an aneurysm in 2025—expressed a desire for a peaceful resolution. She stated that she hopes to resolve the disagreement with Barash privately, urging followers not to view the situation as anything more than a legal dispute between two former spouses that will eventually be settled.
