The 51-year-old reality star emphasized that her transparency is a hallmark of her time on the series.
“I’ve never hidden anything since I’ve been on the show. I have zero control over what’s shown and what’s not,” Lisa stated. “I have a really great marriage, and I’m very lucky for that. But I put in the work on it.”
Navigating the Hardships of a Long-Term Marriage
Lisa and John, who have been married since 2003 and share two sons, Jack and Henry, acknowledged that their relationship has faced significant hurdles, particularly during the earlier years. Lisa noted that both she and her husband are highly independent individuals, which occasionally led to friction.
“I’m his second wife, and I went into our marriage very independent, as did he,” she explained. “The first three years were the hardest for me, and circling back to that feeling last year devastated me. There are times when two very strong, driven people are married, and it can be difficult.”
The Emotional Toll of Miscommunication
The tension peaked after Lisa watched footage of a lunch meeting from the previous season. While the interaction seemed ordinary to her in the moment, reflecting on it later sparked intense insecurity. “When we left that, I didn’t feel any different. It’s when I watched it that I sobbed, and I thought, ‘Do you even love me?’”
Lisa admitted that due to their demanding business lives, they had become complacent in their dynamic. The lack of clarity regarding John's daily activities—who he was meeting and how his behavior had shifted—began to weigh heavily on her.
She recalled asking him directly: “Do you even love me anymore? I would never want someone to be with me if they didn’t love me, and I wouldn’t want to be with someone who didn’t love me.” According to Lisa, John was confused by her reaction, reassuring her of his feelings, though he struggled to understand the root of her distress.

Despite these moments of doubt, Lisa remains steadfast in her commitment to her family. She credits their children and their mutual dedication to parenting as the foundation that keeps their relationship resilient.
“Our kids love us together. We love being parents. We love our family. And I would give up everything before I’d give up my family,” she affirmed.
