Fans of the 1998 cult classic Practical Magic finally have a reason to celebrate. Almost 30 years after the original film first graced the screen, Warner Bros. officially confirmed that a sequel, Practical Magic 2, is in the works. Based on the beloved 1995 novel by Alice Hoffman, the new installment sees original stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reprising their roles as the iconic Owens sisters, Gillian and Sally.

According to the teaser footage and official synopses, the narrative follows Kylie as she experiences the tragic effects of the family curse firsthand, prompting a journey to the U.K. where the Owens women must confront their past and attempt to break the cycle of tragedy once and for all.

Production Timeline
Filming for the sequel officially kicked off in July 2025 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England, with additional location shooting throughout London. By September 2025, Nicole Kidman confirmed that production had wrapped, sharing an emotional video of her and Bullock to mark the end of the shoot. Under the direction of Susanne Bier, the production team has successfully reunited the core creative spirit of the original while expanding the story to new international settings.
