A Night of Elegance and Cinema
Taylor Swift captured the spotlight at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 17. The singer-songwriter arrived in a breathtaking icy blue Dior ballgown, pairing the custom design with an exquisite selection of high-end jewelry from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie Collection.
Complementing her ensemble, Swift opted for platinum earrings featuring 32-carat diamonds. Her accessories also included an 18-carat gold ring set with 5.78 carats of diamonds and a matching platinum bracelet containing 5.04 carats of diamonds. The star showcased a fresh look, featuring a shoulder-length trim styled in a chic, curly half-up hairstyle.
Highlighting the Academy Museum Gala
The event, held to raise essential funds for the preservation of film history, featured a star-studded host committee, including Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, alongside directors Robert Rodriguez and Tom Ford. This year’s gala honored horror icon John Carpenter, actor-filmmaker Colman Domingo, and Academy Award winner Charlize Theron.
The Academy Museum expressed their excitement regarding Swift’s involvement, as she was selected as the signature performer to conclude the fundraiser. Amy Homma, Director and President of the Academy Museum and Academy Collection, stated:
«Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world. We are thrilled to welcome her to this year’s gala and look forward to her performance to close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.»
Swift’s Ongoing Collaboration with Dior
The choice of a custom Dior gown for the gala underscores the deepening partnership between the artist and the fashion house. Swift previously turned to the brand for a bespoke creation for her wedding to Travis Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Before her appearance at the Academy Museum, Swift's most recent major live engagement was her performance at the “The Icon Sessions with Taylor Swift: A 20-Year Retrospective” event at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater back in August.
