Tensions Rise on Deck
The thirteenth season of the popular Bravo series Below Deck has launched with immediate intensity, highlighted by Chief Stew Fraser Olender labeling a charter guest a “shady bitch.”
In the episode that aired on Monday, October 19, the inaugural group of guests wrapped up their stay on the Azul V with a mix of feedback. While they offered compliments regarding the culinary creations of Chef Moe Vilomar, they did not shy away from criticizing the crew, specifically noting that the team appeared to lack cohesion and experience working together.
Though the guest's observation regarding the crew's chemistry was technically accurate for a newly formed team, Olender felt the remarks were uncalled for, especially considering the extensive efforts the staff took to ensure the guests remained satisfied throughout their trip. Despite the tension, the final tip was enough to leave both the crew and Captain Kerry Titheradge highly satisfied.
A New Era for the Crew
This season features returning faces including Captain Kerry and Fraser, alongside returning cast member Rainbeau de Roos. The roster is rounded out by several newcomers, including Chef Moe, Bosun Alex Wright, deckhands James Bishop, Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck, and Jessenia Stidger, as well as stews Kaylee Brown and Rosa Simms-Preston.
Captain Kerry Titheradge previously hinted at a season defined by unexpected developments. “This season, we’re going to have some changes that I don’t think we’ve ever seen on Below Deck before,” he shared. He added that there are moments where he has had to reflect on the decisions made while managing the vessel, expressing anticipation about viewing these events from the perspective of a viewer.
How to Watch
Below Deck airs weekly on Bravo every Monday at 8 p.m. ET. For those who prefer streaming, new episodes are available on Peacock starting the day after they premiere on cable.
