The Countdown to the Finale
The latest installment of Love Island USA is entering its concluding week. After a season filled with evolving romances, unexpected breakups, and high-stakes drama, the social experiment is scheduled to reach its grand conclusion on Sunday, July 12. As the show nears its end, the remaining couples will be whittled down to a final four, leaving the ultimate decision to the audience through a public vote.
The Path to the Prize
Following the tradition of previous seasons, the finalists will enjoy individual dates to reflect on their journeys. Before the winner is announced, each pair will share heartfelt “vows” to confirm their commitment to one another.
The finale will feature the iconic envelope ceremony. The couple that secures the most public votes will receive two envelopes: one containing a $100,000 prize and one that is empty. The partner who holds the winning envelope faces a difficult choice: they can share the prize money with their partner to prove their dedication, or they can choose to keep the entire sum for themselves, effectively prioritizing the cash over the relationship.
Season 8 Controversies
The current season has been marked by significant off-screen turmoil. Several contestants were removed from the villa after past social media posts surfaced containing offensive language and racial slurs.
Among those affected was Casa Amor participant Alannah Keyser, who faced intense scrutiny over an resurfaced video. In response, she issued an apology on social media:
“I’m sorry to whoever has seen that video and has been offended by it. That was never my intention. The video is from six years ago and that word is just not in my vocabulary anymore. I do not support racism or discrimination of any kind and I never have.”
Similarly, Vasana Montgomery and Season 7 contestant Cierra Ortega were also removed from the production following the discovery of past social media conduct that violated the show's standards.
How to Watch
Fans can continue to follow the action leading up to the final day, with new episodes of Love Island USA streaming on Peacock six days a week, excluding Wednesdays.
