A New Chapter for Alex Cooper

Alex Cooper, the 31-year-old creator behind the Call Her Daddy podcast, is entering a new phase of life as she prepares to welcome her first child with husband Matt Kaplan. Since announcing her pregnancy in May, Cooper has shared her personal journey on social media, often turning to her loyal audience for advice and support during her first trimester.

From Secret Acts of Kindness to a Grand Initiative

In early August, Cooper took a significant step in supporting her community. The co-founder and co-CEO of Unwell revealed on Instagram that she had been spending her time acting as a "fairy godmother" to her followers by privately fulfilling their baby registries. What began as a personal gesture quickly evolved into a mission.

“You guys have been there for me during this process, and I want to do the same for you,” Cooper shared with her followers. “Father Cooper’s ready to clear it out.”

Following her announcement, Cooper dedicated her time to gifting essential nursery items and baby gear to numerous expectant parents. The response from her community was overwhelming, with thousands of followers sharing their stories and expressing gratitude.

Strategic Partnership with Babylist

To scale her efforts, Cooper has officially teamed up with the registry platform Babylist. This partnership aims to go beyond simple gift-giving, focusing on meaningful support for the transition into parenthood.

Refining her vision for the collaboration, Cooper noted:

“Clearing out registries was a way to thank the community for all their incredible support and advice. Reading their stories and seeing what that meant to them made me want to find a way for Unwell to keep paying that forward.”

Future Goals for the Collaboration

The initiative, which launched this week, is structured to unfold in several stages:

  • Community Feedback: Gathering direct input from the fans who participated in Cooper’s registry-clearing campaign.
  • Ongoing Support: Continuing to surprise parents with gifts while providing a platform for them to share their unique experiences.
  • Charitable Outreach: Cooper, alongside Babylist and partner Pampers, intends to support charitable organizations dedicated to assisting families during pregnancy and the early stages of raising a child.
