Reality television star Bella Robertson and her husband, Jacob Mayo, are celebrating the arrival of their first child. The 24-year-old Duck Dynasty personality announced the birth of her daughter, Merritt Presley Mayo, on Saturday, September 19, sharing several intimate photos on social media.
“Our rainbow baby! 6 lb 8 oz of pure perfection — our girl, Merritt Presley Mayo,” Bella wrote in her social media post. The images captured heartwarming moments of the new parents, including shots of the newborn resting in her mother's arms and tender moments between Bella and her husband, Jacob, 27.
Opening Up About Personal Struggles
The arrival of baby Merritt is particularly significant for the couple, who have been open about their challenging journey toward parenthood. In May 2025, the pair shared their experiences with infertility, highlighting the misconceptions people often have regarding the ease of conceiving.
“I think people just don’t know what they’re talking about or who they’re talking to,” Bella explained during an interview earlier this year. “We shared a story of infertility in the show, and that’s something that we haven’t really discussed publicly that much... when you just look at someone on social media, you can’t know what anyone’s going through.”
Jacob echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the process is far from straightforward. “I think what we’ve learned in marriage … is that I wish getting pregnant and having kids was as easy as people act like it is,” he noted. “It’s not that transactional of a thing.”

Following the surprise announcement, fans of the Duck Dynasty spin-off, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, flooded social media with congratulatory messages, calling the secret pregnancy “the sweetest news ever.”
Family members also shared their joy. Korie Robertson praised Bella’s resilience throughout the process, stating: “Bella, you are superwoman! Such an amazing mama. Watching you wait on the Lord and trust in Him even when it was so hard has been a beautiful witness.”
She also commended Jacob for his support, adding: “I love the way you take care of your girls. So much gentleness, prayers, protection, laughter and love. You two are an amazing mom and dad, the best team.”
