High Stakes on the Ballroom Floor
'Dancing With the Stars' embraced a relaxing theme for Yacht Rock Night, but the competition remained fierce as some couples soared while others struggled to stay afloat.
The evening began on a high note with Olympian Amber Glenn and her partner, Pasha Pashkov. Despite an unfortunate rehearsal injury that left Pashkov with a nosebleed, the pair delivered a stunning foxtrot to Toto’s “Hold the Line.” Their performance was met with unanimous praise from judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, each awarding them a score of 8.
“What a way to start the show. You turned this ballroom into your own personal ice rink. Just gliding across that floor effortlessly, so exquisite. Absolutely beautiful,” Hough remarked after the routine.
Challenges for the Competitors
Not every performance went as smoothly. When Tyler Cameron from Bachelor Nation took the stage alongside professional dancer Sharna Burgess, the judges pointed out issues regarding his timing. Acknowledging the struggle, Cameron noted, “I’m upset with myself because I didn’t hit the timing at first.” Ultimately, the duo walked away with a total judges' score of 17 out of 30.
A Difficult Farewell
Following a series of impressive routines, the competition reached its climax with the elimination of Taylor Hanson and his pro partner, Britt Stewart.
Reflecting on his journey, Hanson expressed deep appreciation for the experience: “This has been everything. This has been incredible. She’s showed me things I didn’t think was possible and I’m so grateful for this time.” Stewart reciprocated the sentiment, telling her partner, “Taylor, I am so grateful that I now have you in my life. Thank you so much for everything. You are amazing.”
Fans can catch 'Dancing With the Stars' on ABC and Disney+ every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
