Official Dissolution of Marriage

Actress Janel Parrish, 37, and her former husband, Chris Long, have reached a formal conclusion to their marriage. Legal documents indicate that the couple, who cited irreconcilable differences that made cohabitation unsustainable, officially separated on April 4 and filed for divorce later that same month. A judge in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County has now entered the dissolution into official records, though the pair will maintain their legal status for several more months.


Asset Allocation and Spousal Support

According to the court filings, both parties have mutually agreed to waive spousal support. The division of marital property has been clearly defined:

  • Personal Property: Both individuals retain ownership of the artwork, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and appliances currently in their possession.
  • Individual Assets: Parrish has been awarded her 2019 Audi SQ7, as well as all retirement, pension, and 401K accounts held in her name. She also retains all interests in the project Sydney vs. Sean.
  • Long’s Allocation: Chris Long retains his own retirement, pension, and 401K accounts, along with all equity interest in Apex Water and Process Inc.

Real Estate and Joint Holdings

The couple has opted for an equal split regarding their shared financial interests. Both parties will retain a 50% stake in their joint checking account and their Los Angeles residence. The home, which features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a two-car garage, has been prepared for the market. Per their agreement, the property is to be listed for sale no later than June 19, with an asking price reported at approximately $3.299 million.


Reflecting on the Separation

The couple, who wed in September 2018, ended their union after seven years of marriage and a decade together. Following the public announcement of their split in April, Parrish shared a heartfelt message regarding the transition:

«After 10 beautiful years together, including seven years of marriage, Chris and I made the difficult decision to end our marriage. There is still so much love and respect between us, and I’m deeply grateful for everything we built together.»

Since the separation, Parrish has entered a new chapter in her personal life and is currently in a relationship with Dancing With the Stars professional Sasha Farber.
