Terms of the Settlement

According to court filings from March 17, social media star Kristy Scott and her husband, Desmond, finalized the terms of their divorce over two months ago. The couple signed an “Agreed Final Decree of Divorce,” which was achieved through mediation. This document outlines the comprehensive settlement, including the partition of both community and separate assets.


Custody and Parenting Arrangements

The pair, who married on August 10, 2014, share two young sons, Vance, 7, and Westin, 6. Under the agreement, Kristy maintains the exclusive right to designate the children's primary residence within Harris County, Texas. However, both parents are required to consult one another regarding major decisions involving the children's education.

The parenting schedule includes specific holiday rotations:

  • Christmas: Desmond has the children on even-numbered years; Kristy on odd-numbered years.
  • Thanksgiving: Desmond has the children on odd-numbered years; Kristy on even-numbered years.
  • Parental Days: Desmond will spend Father's Day with the boys, while Kristy will be with them on Mother's Day.

Additionally, the agreement permits regular electronic communication with the children when they are in the care of the other parent. Regarding financial support, the documents indicate there is no formal monthly child support mandate, with both parties agreeing to cover their children's expenses independently.


Background on the Separation

Kristy, 31, filed for divorce on December 30, 2025, citing adultery as the grounds for the petition. Following the filing, Desmond, 32, responded with a general denial on March 27, while also requesting that the court cover his attorney's fees and related costs. A hearing for a trial on the merits is reportedly slated for July.

At the time the divorce was initiated, Desmond issued a public statement addressing the situation:

“Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been. I made choices I am not proud of and took responsibility for those actions. I discussed this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”

Since the separation, sources have noted that Kristy has leaned on her close support system, including friends Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson, to help her navigate this transition.
