Released on July 3, Confessions II serves as the long-awaited successor to her critically acclaimed 2005 record, Confessions on a Dance Floor. Driven by a desire to explore new creative avenues, Madonna reconnected with her long-time collaborator, producer Stuart Price.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the project, the singer shared her motivation in a recent interview:
«I thought the world is in a very dark place and people need to dance. I reached out to Stuart, thinking, “What if we tried to make Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, and reenter the world of inspirational dance music?” So I went to his studio in London to see if the magic was still there.»
The synergy between the two artists proved to be as potent as ever, resulting in a collection of dance-focused tracks designed to uplift listeners through challenging times.
